Our Pathologists

Roby P. Joyce, MD, FCAP, FASCPRoby P. Joyce, MD, FCAP, FASCP, is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. His special interest is in GI pathology. Many years ago, Dr. Joyce became interested in GI pathology as a subspecialty and decided to focus all of his Continuing Medical Education in GI pathology. He frequently attends the Johns Hopkins seminar “Current Topics in GI Pathology”and other GI pathology-related CME. Dr. Joyce is also a board certified Neurologist. During his pathology residency he received extensive additional training in neuropathology. During his assignment to Brooke Army Medical Center he served as Chief of Clinical Pathology and Director of Residency Training. His Curriculum Vitae includes numerous scientific articles. Dr. Joyce has over 30 years experience in pathology.


Patricia G. Jeffreys, MD, FCAPPatricia G. Jeffreys, MD, FCAP, is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. She is also a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists. Dr. Jeffreys has aspecial interest in GI pathology and focuses much of her Continuing Medical Education in this area of practice. In addition, she is knowledgeable in the area of pulmonary pathology. During her years at Brooke Army Medical Center she discussed the pathology findings for cases at the monthly multidiscipline pulmonary conference. Dr. Jeffreys is an excellent general pathologist with over 26 years of experience.

Peggy N. Stoll, MD, FCAPPeggy N. Stoll, MD, FCAP, is a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists and is boardcertified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. In addition, Dr. Stollis board certified in Hematopathology. She is an expert in the highly sophisticated and rapidly evolving fields of bone marrow pathology, blood disorders (e.g. leukemias and anemia) and disorders of lymphnodes. She is knowledgeable in the clinical application of four highly sophisticated areas of pathology testing: flow cytometry, molecular pathology, cytogentics and immunohistochemical stains. She is also an excellent and knowledgeable general pathologist with over 25 years experience.

Howard G. Weisbrod, MD, FCAPHoward G. Weisbrod, MD, FCAP, is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists. Dr. Weisbrod also holds specialty board certification in Cytopathology. Dr. Weisbrod has a special interest and expertise in the field of gynecological pathology and liver pathology. As an experienced general pathologist and cytopathologist before joining Precision Pathology Services, Dr. Weisbrod completed a career in the U S Army Medical Corps. While stationed at Brooke Army Medical Center, Dr. Weisbrod was actively involved in training pathology residents. He has over 27 years of pathology experience.

Hanan Hussein Ayoub, MD, FCAPHanan Hussein Ayoub, MD, FCAP, is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and is also a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists. In addition to five years of training in general pathology, Dr. Ayoub completed a Pediatric Pathology Fellowship at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio Texas. Her fellowship included pediatric pathology training in Surgical Pathology, Hematology, Cytology, and Renal Pathology. Dr. Ayoub is an excellent anatomic pathologist with over 15 years experience. Her special areas of interest are GI Pathology, Pediatric Pathology and Dermatopathology.

Lilia WijcikLilia Wojcik, MD, FCAP, is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology. She received her training at UT Medical School at Houston with clinical experience from MD Anderson Hospital and Cancer Center, Herman Hospital and Saint Luke's Hospital/Texas Heart Institute. Dr. Wojcik has a special interest and expertise in gynecologic pathology, breast pathology and endocrine pathology. She has more than 20 years experience in surgical pathology in addition to her previous OB/GYN, pediatric surgery and vascular surgery experience.

  

James HumphreysJames Humphreys, MD, FCAP , is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Dr Humphreys graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and has a special interest in GI Pathology and also completeda fellowship in Forensic Pathology. He is an active member of both the Texas Medical Association and the Bexar County Medical Society serving on several committees within the two organizations.

 

 

Elena Lavrovskaya, MD - is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and holds specialty board certification in Cytopathology. Dr. Lavrovskaya’sspecial interests include fine needle aspirate specimen’s, prostatepathology and gynecological pathology. She is a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio andcompleted her Fellowship in Cytopathology at the Methodist Hospital, Houston, Texas.

 

Linda HausenflukeLinda Hausenfluke, MD – is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. She is also a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists and a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. Dr. Hausenfluke is a graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She has a special interest in breast pathology and completed a surgical pathology fellowship in 1997. Dr Hausenfluke is currently Laboratory Medical Director at the Nix Health Care System.

 

 

Jacqueline AckleyJacqueline Ackley, MD- is a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists, is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and holds sub specialty board certification in Hematopathology. She is a graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Dr Ackley completed herpathology residency and Hematopathology Fellowship at Brooke Army Medical Center and served overseas in Operation Desert Storm. Currently Dr Ackley is Laboratory Medical Director at Southwest General Hospital.

 

 

John Russel, MD– is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. He is also a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists andthe College of American Pathologists. Dr Russell graduated fromBowdoin College and continued his training with the US Army at Madigan Army Medical Center. Dr Russel holds a special interest in assisting Rural Hospitals with all their laboratory and pathology needs.

 

Denise Francois, MD is board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, as well as Hematopathology.  She is a Fellow of the Collegeof American Pathologists, and an expert in the multidisciplinary diagnosis ofhematopoietic diseases; this includes the interpretation of flow cytometry andmolecular, FISH and cytogenetic studies. Dr. Francois has broad experience in the diagnosis of general surgical pathology specimens, and outpatient biopsy cases, having spent ten years in the US Air Force where her duties included teaching general surgical pathology to residents at Wilford Hall Medical Center, as well as diagnosing many outpatient specimens at the US Air Force Academy. She has twelve years of general pathology experience.

Aamir Ehsan, MD is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and holds subspecialty board certification in Hematopathology, Molecular Genetics and Transfusion Medicine. Dr Ehsan has served as a faculty member for more than ten years at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX where he was the Director of the Flow Cytometry and Molecular Genetics Laboratories. Dr Ehsan is a frequent speaker at national conferences, has authored text bookchapters and peer reviewed journal articles. Dr Ehsan has trained more than fifty hematopathology and hematology-oncology fellows.

Siddarth G. Adhvaryu, PhD, FACMG, is American Board of Medical Genetics certified and a Fellow of the American College of Medical Genetics. Dr Adhvaryu completed his Medical Genetics fellowship at Duke University Medical Center. He has over thirty years of experience and is well respected in the field of cancer cytogenetics.
